Kaley Bender was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She recently moved to New York City after earning her B.F.A. in Musical Theatre at Point Park University.​

Some of her recent regional credits include Ensemble in Dear Evan Hansen (The Muny), Ensemble in Frozen (The Muny), Swing in Jersey Boys (The Muny), and Swing in Waitress (The Muny). Her recent Point Park credits include Margot in Legally Blonde, Ensemble/Dance Captain in Steel Pier, Flo/Dance Captain in The Mystery of Edwin Drood , Mrs. Van Buren in Intimate Apparel , and E8 u/s P8 in Sondheim on Sondheim. ​​
